A neat book that any kid will enjoy
I saw this book shop worn in a book store and found it in mint condition on Amazon where I purchased it for my son who is 4 yrs old. He really enjoys this book and wants to know about everything on the page. A really neat book that should be put back in print again. I don't remember such neat pop-out books as a kid and this one takes top prize for me. If you can find it used your child will enjoy it.

GREAT BOOK!
My child and I spent many nights and days discovering new and exciting things in this COLORFUL book!

Your child is LOVE this creepy book!

The Ultimate Bug Book - With Full-Color Pop-Ups
This is an incredibly informative book. My 5 year old son loves it so much that we are ordering it again. Our first one is very dog-eared. The illustrations are superb and the pop-ups really bring the world of insects up close and make it easy to understand. We have spent many wonderful hours reading this book together and, as a result, my son now knows a great deal about bugs and their habits. It is a very hands on book and shows children amazing facts. The cricket noise, scratch and sniff stink bug page, and the huge pop-up moth are our favorites. I would recommend this book to anyone who has a child who is interested in learning about bugs. It is sure to bring them many happy memories.

An Account of the Antiquities of the Indians: Chronicles of the New World Encounter (Latin America in Translation/En Traduccion/En Traducao)

On Arrom edition of Ramon Pane's Account of the Antiquities
An excellent job of narrating the recovery of lost material from existing documentation. The footnotes are well researched. The topic is fascinating, and the insights of the editors very useful. However, I would have liked to see an additional index with entry using English terms as well as the existing index of Taino words.

In addition, in analysis of a culture so intimately linked and so knowledgeable of nature as the Tainos, one should also take into account biological reality. For instance, it seems clear to a biologist that Mácocael, "he of the lidless eyes:' page 6 of the text may well be the great rainbow boa, Epicrates spp., Ma-ja, the great snake, since this serpent, like most boas, has lidless eyes.

Angels and Addicts

Recovering Life!
This inspiring little book (just the right size for a bedside table) takes a fresh look at recovery. As Teri Griswold defines it "to recover the soul and the life you were born to live." Simple steps - That's why they work for addicts! - and daily meditations take you on a spiritual journey of self exploration and improvement.

For seekers everywhere.

Very Enlightening
A friend of mine had this book sitting on the table so I picked it up and started reading. Having never attended anything "AA" I thought I would find no interest in it but I was very wrong. This book is about life. Period. For everyone. It explains how to reach your higher potential, how to be kinder to yourself and how to love others in all their glorious imperfection as well as yourself. I was touched by the angel poems and even tried some of the meditations (which worked!) and I now find myself feeling more relaxed on a daily basis. Buy the book - you won't regret it!

Asay Doodles Goes to Town
Published in Paperback by Pelican Pub Co (July, 1995)
Authors: Chuck Asay and Dan Griswold

Asay's doodles
You need this book for your coffee table: if you're a conservative, to stimulate your liberal friends and spread the word, and if you're a liberal, to irritate your liberal friends and let them worry what word you're trying to spread. Face it, there aren't many conservative toon makers. Asay has to be the best. This little book has his toons grouped under 13 topic headings: Big Government, The Justice Department, The Presidency ... on down to World. Since it's 5 years old, it's dated, but then again, not out-dated.

Editorial Cartoons from a Conservative Point of View
Asay Doodles is possibly the best collection of editorial cartoons from a conservative point of view available today. The artwork is wonderful and the jokes are fresh and funny but the ideas really grab you. Very often I got a new insight on an issue I thought I knew very well. Whatever your political perspective I think you will both enjoy this book and find your thinking on our issues and culture challenged by it. Hey Chuck, isn't it about time for another book?

The Bible of Griswold collecting
Being a collector, dealer and trader with my own online cast iron business..., this the what most collectors call the Bible of Griswold or the BLUE book. It is well laid out with great pictures. The author, Dave Smith, is friendly and easy to approach with questions and is very knowledgeable. It is the first book I go to.

Consider it the Bible of Cast Iron
Finding the author online and then finding his book. What a great book for the first time collector, the continuing collector or the expert. Precise information presented in and easy to read format. Great pictures and lots of neat little notes. A sample of the pricing of any and all. Includes a short history of most of the companies that have made cast iron cookware, and other items in cast iron.

Exercise Motivation

I was a BIG skeptic! but I tried it anyway & LOVE IT!
ok , I was tired and frustrated when I bought this.. I wanted to lose weight and start exercising but had no motivation and it was raining here DAILY for a month!

I impulse bought this and regretted it 10 minutes later... but decided what's done is done...

When it arrived I listened to it the first night and promptly passed out in 10 minutes (I am an insomniac! so WOW!) -- I woke up at 6am (and NOT a morning person) and couldn't WAIT to listen again...

I had coffee by 6:30am and worked out to my new leslie sansone walking video by 7am

HOLY COW! I listen to it every day...

It's not a magic pill... there are none! but it BOOSTS your motivation and makes you feel good!

I also bought a subliminal tape for eating healthy (Slim something) AND THAT IS AWESOME To listen to while grocery shopping- you feel great and relaxed and buy HEALTHY FOOD!

Great audio tape!
This tape is wonderful. The first side has a message by the author followed by a self-hypnosis session. The guided imagery is very peaceful and soothing. The author's voice and the content are very reassuring and positive. I love this tape!

The second side has subliminal messages under relaxing music. I could listen to this music, any time, anywhere. I've fallen asleep to this tape a few times -- and it's amazing! I wake up wanting to exercise. So -- I guess that means it works?? :-)

Improve Your Concentration

Improve your concentration
I bought this tape for my son because he was not doing well in school. His tests showed he had the ability but did not apply himself or show attetion to detail or consentrate. After listening to it every day for 3 weeks and then 2 -3 times a week for 20 minutes his grades did improve and his teacherstated he was showing more effort. I beleive this helps whether it is the suggestions or just the calming effect in our kids hectic lives it does work. I have even tried it and the calming effect is great. Try it you will see!

Yes, it works.
Side 1 is hypnosis that really works - it puts me under every time. I've been using it to improve my billiards play, and it's been quite effective in only two weeks. I use it every night. Side 2 is subliminal messages in bad music. I listen to it sometimes, but I don't know if it helps.

I love this tape!
I listened to this tape every day for a couple of years, it was instrumental in helping me break out of self-defeating behaviors. Bob's voice is very positive and soothing and the subliminal side is really motivational. Highly recommended.

Comment
I know you will look at this before you put it up so I wanted to tell you that this tape is by Bob Griswold and should be listed with his other tapes. I would like to put a link on my page for all Bob Griswold tapes so if you would like to recategorize this it would be great, thanks.

Become Totally Positive Auto-Matically
Published in Audio Cassette by Effective Learning Systems (March, 1997)
Authors: Bob Griswold, Deirdre Griswold, Effective Learning Systems, and Robert Griswold
Average review score:

It will help you maintain the positive attitude it develops
This tape is a bit corny in spots, but even after considering those corny spots and taking out what is good, even those spots are helpful. I feel they could have done a little better job, but I am rating it with 5 stars because it does work well. I have listened to it about 10 - 15 times so far and it has gone a long way to help me be more positive and confident. I have purchased a second copy (the price is great, no need to pirate it) in case the first one gets worn out. I only listen to it on my way to work in my car, and it sure starts my day out right. And it's a lot better than listening to all the negative crap you get on the radio. I highly recommend you purchase this bargain!

The Book of Wagner & Griswold: Martin, Lodge, Vollrath, Excelsior
Published in Paperback by Schiffer Publishing, Ltd. (01 January, 2000)
Authors: David G. Smith, Chuck Wafford, and Charles Wafford
Average review score:

Lots and lots of good information!
This new book by the authors Smith and Wafford picks up where the old "blue" book stops. This book contains practically all new pictures and items which were not in the old book. Based on the title "The Book of Wagner & Griswold" the majority of the book contains information about Wagner. There is 124 pages which deal with Wagner Ware. The information contained is solid and not to be found anywhere else. Once again, this book becomes the Bible for collecting old cookware. The information on Griswold is not nearly as as long as Wagner. It is only 75 pages. There are many new items in this book which was not in the other books. There is quite a bit of information about aluminum Griswold items which is very helpful if you are collecting this type of cookware. Finally the sections on Martin Stove, Lodge, Axford, Vollrath and Excelsior(G.F.Filley) is great! For each manufacture it gives the history along with photo's/prices. Super information which I have not found anywhere else. I think this book is a "must have" for the cookware collector. It is a good companion book to "The Book of Griswold & Wagner." To be fully informed you really need both books. I have found these books by Smith and Wafford to be pretty close in the values of various items. Although variances do exist I have found these to be the closest out of all the cast iron collectable books available. I keep both of these books next to my computer and refer to them almost daily when shopping the internet for cast iron. A++++
